PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide raising seedling ridging for preventing such problems that granular raising seedling ridging supplied to a raising seedling container absorbs water, expands in the raising seedling container and projects above the upper end of the raising seedling container, and consequently, the filled raising seedling ridging falls down from the raising seedling container and sown seeds fall outside the raising seedling container, the quantity of coating soil becomes inappropriate because the raising seedling ridging falls down, and handling of the raising seedling container worsens in a raising seedling working process after sowing such as piling up (stacking) the raising seedling containers. SOLUTION: This raising seedling ridging is a mixture of granular or coarse ridging and powdery ridging, and is the same or shrinks to become small without changing the volume by absorbing water.
