PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent pad with three-dimentional gathers having a height that can be easily heightened.SOLUTION: An absorbent pad 10 includes a sheet 14 for a leakage prevention cuff, and the sheet 14 for a leakage prevention cuff forms a leakage prevention cuff 16 having a base end part 16b and a free end part 16a. The pad 10 has a folding part 18 obtained by folding a surface sheet 11 toward an upper surface side of the surface sheet 11 in a crotch part C in both right and left side regions. In the folding part 18, parts of the surface sheet 11 are mutually joined at a joint part 19. In a half-finished product 10 prior to folding, the base end part 16b of the leakage prevention cuff 16 is located on the surface sheet 11, and a width direction inner end part 17 in a joined region in an abdominal side part A and a back side part B of the sheet 14 for a leakage prevention cuff is located in the inward in the width direction of the base end part 16b in the crotch part C. The joint part 19 is located on the same position as the width direction inner end part 17 in the abdominal side part A and the back side part B or is located inward in the width direction of the width direction inner end part.
