PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water type emulsion composition comprising a whitening component having an ultraviolet protection function and high stability.SOLUTION: An oil-in-water type emulsion composition comprises the components (a), (b), (c) and (d): (a) a polyglycerol fatty acid ester, (b) an anionic surfactant, (c) tranexamic acid and (d) a particulate metal oxide.
