In order to provide a heating device that uses microwaves and that is capable of uniformly heating an object being processed, this heating device 10 is provided with: a rotation drum 30 for housing the object being processed, the rotation drum 30 being disposed so that a rotation shaft 34b is tilted diagonally upwards and a lid part 20 having a microwave emission unit 22 for emitting microwaves from an opening part 32 of the rotation drum 30 to the interior space of the rotation drum 30, the lid part 30 covering the opening part 32 when the microwaves are emitted. The rotation drum 30 is provided with: an inner circumferential surface 33 defining the internal space a bottom surface 34 closing an end part of the inner circumferential surface 33 a projecting part 36 projecting towards the opening part 32 side from the bottom surface 34 and a plurality of blades extending from the inner circumferential surface 33 to the projecting part 36 side, the plurality of blades guiding the object being processed to the projecting part 36. The projecting part 36 is shaped so that when viewed in a cross-section along the rotation shaft 34b, the distance between two line segments 36a corresponding to the side surfaces of the projecting part 36 decreases from the bottom surface 34 side to the opening part 32 side.
