PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defecation promotion capsule with which a function to urge natural defecation is exhibited when it is swallowed from the mouth and reaches the rectum, with respect to an animal whose natural defecation is difficult due to degradation in a function of the rectum.SOLUTION: The defecation promotion capsule is a capsule 11 for internal use, whose inside is filled with fats and oils solidifying or gelating at temperature equal to or lower than the central temperature of the body, and liquefying at temperature higher than the central temperature of the body, and which is a capsule container 11 composed of a flexible raw material, having a plurality of slits 13 penetrating from the outer surface to the inner surface, and the slits are configured so as to be closed when the capsule container exists at the temperature equal to or lower than the central temperature of the body or the moisture amount at the surface is equal to or more than a prescribed value, and to be opened when the capsule container reaches the rectum and the moisture amount at the surface of the capsule container is less than the prescribed value and exists at the temperature higher than the central temperature of the body, and the liquefied fats and oils 14 are eluted.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】直腸の機能低下などにより自然排便が困難になっている動物に対して、口から飲んで直腸に達したときに自然排便を促す機能を発揮する排便促進カプセルを提供する。【解決手段】体内中心温度以下で固形またはゲル状となり、体内中心温度より高い温度で液状化する油脂を内部に充填した内服用のカプセル11であって、柔軟性素材からなるカプセル容器11に、外表面から内表面に貫通する複数の切れ込み13が入れられており、当該切れ込みはカプセル容器が体内中心温度以下またはその表面の水分量が所定値以上の場合に閉口する構成であり、カプセル容器が直腸に到達し、カプセル容器の表面の水分量が所定値を下回りかつ体内中心温度より高くなることにより当該切れ込みが開口し、液状化した油脂14が溶出する構成である。【選択図】図1
