To provide an acoustic coupling material, even when being used combinedly with a resin wrap film in performing intraoral ultrasonography, capable of performing highly accurate examination of an area to be examined.SOLUTION: An acoustic coupling material 1 is a gel-like member formed of polymer materials and includes an agar and an agarose as the polymer materials. The reflection of ultrasonic waves can be suppressed by using the acoustic coupling material 1 for the intraoral ultrasonography, even when it is used combinedly with a resin wrap film. Accordingly, this configuration can suppress deterioration in image quality caused by reflection noise generated when using the conventional acoustic coupling material so as to further highly accurately perform the intraoral ultrasonography.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】口腔内の超音波検査を行う際に、樹脂系のラップフィルムと組み合わせて用いた場合でも、検査部位のより精度の高い検査を可能とする音響カップリング材を提供する。【解決手段】音響カップリング材１は、高分子材料により形成されたゲル状の部材であり、高分子材料として寒天やアガロースを含有する。口腔内の超音波検査を行う際に、音響カップリング材１を用いると、樹脂系のラップフィルムと組み合わせて用いた場合でも、超音波の反射を抑制することができる。したがって、従来の音響カップリング材を用いた場合に生じる反射ノイズによる画質の劣化を抑制し、より高精度で検査部位の超音波検査を行うことが可能となる。【選択図】図１
