The invention relates to a metering apparatus for an injecting device. The metering apparatus, comprising an actuating element (1) for setting or dispensing a dose from the injecting device, a piston rod (2) for producing an advancing motion in order to discharge a dose, a piston rod sleeve (3), in which the piston rod (2) is accommodated such that the piston rod (2) can be connected to the piston rod sleeve (3) in a rotationally fixed manner, a coupling element (4), by means of which the actuating element (1) and the piston rod sleeve (3) can be coupled in order to dispense the dose set by means of the actuating element (1), such that a discharging motion of the actuating element (1) is transferred to the piston rod (2) by means of the piston rod sleeve (3) connected to the piston rod (2), wherein the metering apparatus further comprises a turn-back prevention element (5) for the piston rod sleeve (3) in order to allow the piston rod sleeve (3) to rotate in one direction and to block the piston rod sleeve from rotating in the opposite direction.
