PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage capable of enjoining a superb balance between fresh acidity and delicate sweetness characteristic of a plum.SOLUTION: Provided is a container-packaged fruit juice-containing beverage in which sarcocarp is 0.5 to 21.0, a sugar/acid ratio is 1.0 to 30.0, and also, pH is 2.0 to 4.0. Also provided is a method for producing a container-packaged fruit juice-containing beverage and a method for improving a taste balance thereof comprising: a step of regulating sarcocarp to 0.5 to 21.0 a step of regulating a sugar/acid ratio to 1.0 to 30.0 and a step of regulating pH to 2.0 to 4.0.
