The present invention relates to a polymerable water-soluble or alcohol-soluble UV-light absorbent, which is represented by the following formula (I):wherein R1is H or C1~5alkyl R2is H, Cl, Br or I R3is H or methyl and m is an integer in the range of from 3 to 12. The above-mentioned compounds are suitable for copolymerization with one or more monomers so that the UV-light resistance of the copolymer can be efficiently promoted. For example, the polymer made by copolymerizing the above-mentioned compound with acrylate monomers could be applied in production of optical medical material, especially in contact lenses or intraocularlenses.本發明係有關於一種可聚合型水溶性或醇溶性紫外光吸收劑,其係如下式(I)所示:其中,R1為氫或C1-C5烷基,R2為氫、氯、溴或碘,R3為氫或甲基,且m為3~12。該化合物適合與一種或多種單體進行共聚合,可有效增進共聚合物之耐紫外光照射特性。舉例如與丙烯酸單體進行共聚合反應後之高分子,可應用於製造光學醫藥材料,特別是製造隱形眼鏡或人工水晶體。
