An intravascular intervention system can include a manipulation member (160) sized for insertion into a blood vessel and an intervention member (200) coupled to the manipulation member (160). The manipulation member can include a longitudinally extending tube (170) having a helical cut extending along the tube. The helical cut can have an axial length of at least 50 cm and be continuous along the axial length.
