PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft absorbent article which has excellent air permeability, hardly becomes stuffy, quickly responds, absorbs and holds body liquid even when a large amount of body liquid is excreted in a short time, and has excellent fitting property.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a liquid permeable surface sheet arranged on a skin abutting surface side, a moisture permeable leakage preventing sheet arranged on a skin non-abutting surface side, and an absorbent body interposed between the sheets. The absorbent body has a plurality of holes penetrating from the skin abutting surface to the skin non-abutting surface in an excretion region. The penetrating hole has a flat shape in which non-penetrating projecting portions project inward from a virtual circumscribed circle of the non-penetrating projecting portions.
