PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is capable of holding male genital organs in a predetermined area when worn and is hard to cause leakage or get a lash on the skin.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes: a front surface sheet 2 comprising a skin abutted surface a rear surface sheet 3 comprising skin non-abutted surface and an oblong absorbing structure 4 which is disposed between both of these sheets 2 and 3 and includes two layers, an upper layer absorber 41 and a lower layer absorber 42, and includes a stomach side part A and a back side part B in the longitudinal direction. A recessed part 5 in which the upper layer absorber 41 does not virtually exist and is more recessed in the thickness direction than in a peripheral part is formed across a virtual central line CL on the skin abutted surface in a disposition area of the absorbing structure 4 in the stomach side part A rather than the virtual central line CL for dividing the absorbent article 1 into two in the longitudinal direction. The recessed part 5 is large enough to contain both the penis and the scrotum of the male genital organs. An elastic member 6 in an expanded state is disposed near the outside of a periphery 5a of the recessed part 5, virtually in a circle 61 in a plane view so that it surrounds the recessed part 5.
