Sodium Bi-carbonate, more commonly known as Baking Soda, is a chemical with varied uses in our homes. A few among these, are its use in killing odor or foul smell emanating from food kept in refrigerators and/or closed compartments and also as a preservative to extend the shelf life of food items. The invention titled Fridge Freshener and Food Saver (3FS) is about a gadget to sprinkle/disperse the baking soda in the environment where-in it is intended to be applied viz. refrigerators, freezers and cooling cabinets etc there by facilitating its chemical reaction with the inside air and the resultant change in pH in turn helping in killing the odor and extending the shelf life of contents/food items stored there-in.
