The present invention reveals a nucleic acid sequence derived from Nicotiana megalosiphon that encodes an antipathogenic protein. The invention contemplates the use of this nucleic acid molecule in obtaining transgenic plants of agricultural interest that show resistance to pathogens. The invention also includes a bioproduct, comprising this antipathogenic protein, for the control of plant pathogens.La presente invención revela una secuencia de ácido nucleico derivada de Nicotiana megalosiphon que codifica para una proteína antipatogénica.
