The process comprises (i) heating at least one active compound to at least its melting point or softening point； and (ii) mixing at least one active compound with at least one support in an extruder； The mixed components are formed and cooled as they pass through the extruder, so that the mixed components pass over about 95% by weight of the powder through a US standard about 8 mesh screen.
