The technical solution claimed relates to feed production. The technical result of the claimed invention is obtaining feed that retains the safe properties thereof for a prolonged time,including during storage, being balanced and best assimilated by animal bodies, preventing diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and having a light therapeutic effect with potentially infected feedstock, and making it possible to use biological wastes and crop production wastes for feed production. The technical result is achieved on account of the fact that cooling is additionally included in a method for feed production comprising separate comminution of plant feedstock and moisture-containing protein feedstock, mixing, extrusion and granulation, while the operations are performed in the following order: comminution, mixing, extrusion, cooling and granulation, wherein the feedstock is subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis during and after extrusion. The claimed method is industrially applicable.
