PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of optical surfaces of a cell which have small light scattering and aberration.SOLUTION: A magnetic field measurement device has atoms to be excited with pump light encapsulated in a plurality of cells S formed in a cell unit 110 in a rectangular parallelepiped shape having a first flat plate 111 and a second flat plate 112 transmitting light. The magnetic field measurement device makes pump light P2 incident on each cell S from the side of the second flat plate 112, and also makes probe light P1 incident from the side of the second flat plate to cross the pump light P2 incident on each cell, and a detection part 130 detects an angle of rotation of a plane of polarization of each probe light which is incident on each cell of the cell unit 110 and transmitted through the first flat plate 111.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】セルにおいて光の散乱や収差の少ない光学面の数を減らすことを目的とする。【解決手段】磁場計測装置は、光を透過させる第1平板111と第2平板112とを有する直方体形状のセルユニット110に形成された複数のセルSの内部にはポンプ光によって励起される原子が封入されている。磁場計測装置は、各セルSに対して第2平板112の側からポンプ光P2を入射させると共に、各セルに入射したポンプ光P2と交差するようにプローブ光P1を第2平板の側から入射させ、セルユニット110の各セルに入射して第1平板111を透過した各プローブ光の偏光面の回転角を検出部130において検出する。【選択図】図4
