PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus allowing easy setting of an imaging range.SOLUTION: This magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a collection part, a detection part, a derivation part, and an imaging control part. The collection part collects three-dimensional image data of a range including a target internal organ. The detection part detects the upper end position and the lower end position of the target internal organ from the three-dimensional image data. The derivation part derives the imaging range of succeeding imaging after the three-dimensional image data collection based on the upper end position and the lower end position of the target internal organ.
