The present invention provides a composition for restricting proliferation of yeasts for the prevention and/or treatment of mycoses selected from the group consisting of candidiasis and pityrosporoses wherein said composition comprises 0.001% to 20% by weight of C7 sugar, compared to the total weight of the composition； said sugar(s) being selected from the group comprised of mannoheptulose, perseitol and mixtures thereof.
