PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of blood pressure value measured in blood-pressure measurement using a pressure sensor.SOLUTION: An electronic sphygmomanometer comprises a cuff 20 attached to a measurement site, a pressurizing/depressurizing parts such as a pump 51 and a valve 52 or the like for adjusting pressure applied on the cuff 20, a pressure-detecting part including the pressure sensor 32 for detecting cuff pressure inside the cuff 20 during the blood-pressure measurement, and a CPU 100 for calculating the blood pressure on the basis of changes in the cuff pressure detected by the pressure-detecting part. The blood pressure is measured and abnormality of the pressure sensor 32 is detected on the basis of the cuff pressure detected by the pressure sensor 32. For detecting the abnormality, when the pressure sensor is initialized, a predetermined amount of air is supplied from the pump 51 to a tank 57, thereby detecting internal pressure of the tank by the pressure sensor 32. The detected result is compared with data for an examination data acquired in advance and the abnormality of the pressure sensor 32 is detected on the basis of the comparison result.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】圧力センサを用いた血圧測定において血圧測定値の信頼性を向上させる。
