An electronic sphygmomanometer includes a cuff (20) to be attached to a measurement site a pressurization/depressurization unit having a pump (51) and a valve (52) for adjusting a pressure to be applied to the cuff (20) a pressure detection unit having a first pressure sensor (321) and a second pressure sensor (322) for detecting a cuff pressure in the cuff (20) at the time of blood pressure measurement and a CPU (100) for calculating a blood pressure based on a change in the cuff pressure detected by the pressure detection unit. The electronic sphygmomanometer measures the blood pressure and detects abnormality on the plurality of pressure sensors based on the cuff pressures detected in correspondence to the first pressure sensor (321) and the second pressure sensor (322).
