The invention relates to an assembly for fishing, especially flatfish fishing, the assembly comprising an elongated tow-element that in use of the assembly is moveable along a ground surface, such as a seabed, wherein the tow-element is configured to be connectable with a trawl for catching and retaining fish, and wherein the tow-element is configured to be connectable to a vessel for towing, and the assembly further comprising an air channel for channeling compressed air, the air channel extending from a first end that is connectable to a compressed air supply to a second end and a number of air outlets that are connected to the second end of the air channel and are operatively connected to the elongated tow-element, wherein in use of the assembly the number of air outlets is directed towards the ground surface and is configured for ejecting compressed air towards the ground surface. The invention further relates to a fishing vessel and a method for fishing including the assembly according to the invention and a conversion kit for converting a beam trawl to an assembly according to the invention.
