PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing line information setting method that improves the convenience of a user in the setting and operation of an electric reel.SOLUTION: Information on a fishing line is set to an electric reel 100 that can communicate with an electronic apparatus 102 using the electronic apparatus 102 such as a smartphone. The electronic apparatus 102 acquires product information on the fishing line, and, using the acquired product information, acquires predetermined setting information corresponding to the product information required when the fishing line is used for the electric reel 100 from a server 103, for example.
