Disclosed is a composition for chicken feed formulation for the production of omega -3 chicken. The composition includes linseed oil in a range about 4% by weight to about 6% by weight variously resourced from linseed (Linum usitatissimum). The composition further includes linseed cake in a range from about 4% by weight to about 6% by weight. The composition furthermore inlcudes linseed powder in a range from about 48% by weight to about 52% by weight, and bajara (Pennisetum americanum, family- Poaceae) in a range from about 8% by weight to about 10% by weight. Moreover, the composition includes molasses, HFCS, honey, jaggery alone or in combination in a range from about 13% by weight to about 15% by weight, and spices selected from garlic, onion clove cinnamon, turmeric, asafetida ginger cumin alone or in combination in a range from about 13% by weight to about 15% by weight.
