PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of measurements of intrathoracic pressure with respect to bloodstream disturbance not caused by a body movement such as tension, stress, cool-temperature environment or the like.SOLUTION: An intrathoracic pressure estimation device is constructed to estimate intrathoracic pressure on the basis of a pulse wave signal observed from a subject. The intrathoracic pressure estimation device analyzes multiple types of pulse wave signals observed from the subject and then derives each specific feature quantity for the pulse wave signals. The intrathoracic pressure estimation device determines reliability of an estimation result of the intrathoracic pressure on the basis of the feature quantity obtained by analyzing the pulse wave signals.
