A disposable absorbent article may include a chassis comprising a liquidpermeable topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between thetopsheet and backsheet and an ear joined to the rear waist region of thechassis such that at least a portion of said ear extends laterally outwardfrom the longitudinal edge of the chassis in the rear waist region. Thearticle further comprises a fastening system including an engaging memberdisposed proximate to distal edge of the ear and a receiving member disposedon the chassis in the front waist region, wherein the ear interconnects thefront waist region and the rear waist region upon engagement of the engagingmember with the receiving member. The ear has a Front Edge Displacement and aRear Edge Displacement such that a sum of the Front Edge Displacement and theRear Edge Displacement is no greater than about 12 mm.
