A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of multiple myeloma is provided. The present inventors have investigated compounds having a mitochondrial Complex I inhibitory action, and the bicyclic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic amide compound of the present invention has a mitochondrial Complex I inhibitory action. The present invention was completed by confirming that it has an inhibitory effect on the growth of multiple myeloma.
