PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type tiller hardly allowing various kinds of cables to interfering with work.SOLUTION: A tiller 1 includes: a machine body including a right/left pair of travel wheels 30L, 30R, a tillage device 40, and an engine 20 rotating the travel wheels and tillage device and an operation handle 300 extended from the machine body toward a rear side. The tiller 1 further includes: a gear shift lever 70 arranged from a rear edge of the machine body toward a rear side a gear shift panel 110 arranged in the rear edge of the machine body and determining a gear shift position of the gear shift lever 70 and a base frame 200 attached with a root part of the operation handle 300.
