PURPOSE: A powder composition containing a collection of particles is provided to delay release of cyclopropen compounds in case of being mixed with water. CONSTITUTION: A powder composition contains a collection of particles with 10-200 um of intermediate diameter. The particles contains a coat of alipathic compounds having melting point at 50-110°；C and cyclopropen compound molecules or one or more complexes containing a part of the cyclopropen compound molecules. The alipathic compound contains hydrogenated soybean or cotton seed oil or polyethylene single polymer wax.
