In someembodiments, the present invention discloses a method of providing oral carebenefits including applying to an oral cavity an oralcare composition containing a therapeutically effective amount of at least onecarbonate compound of Formula (1) and at least oneexcipient. In some embodiments, the present invention discloses a method of up-regulating or down-regulating periodontal diseasemetabolites including applying to an oral cavity an oral care compositioncontaining a therapeutically effective amount of atleast on carbonate compound of Formula (1) and at least one excipient.
