A method for predicting the severity of the course of hypertension associated with diabetes mellitus type 2 based on mathematical simulation provides for the assessment of the individual findings of clinico-instrumental and biochemical examinations of the patients. The most significant anamnestic, echocardiographic and biochemical predictors are selected for being included into binary classifying models based on discriminant analysis of the individual parameters. The following seven predictors have been proved to be the most significant: x&ndash content of transforming growth factor &bgr(TRF-&bgr) x&ndash blood glucose content x&ndash size of the left atrium x&ndash duration of hypertension x&ndash thickness of intima-media complex x&ndash type of transmitral blood flow of the left ventricle based on the ratio of the peak rates of early and late atrial filling (E/A) as criterion of the presence of diastolic alterations in the left ventricle x&ndash age of the patient. The discriminant coefficients (a-a b-b) characterizing the prognostic contribution of each predictor are calculated. For the individual quantification of the severity of the state, the binary classifying model is constructed by calculating the discriminant functions for the group of the patients with mild non-complicated course of the disease (DF) and the group of the patients with the severe course and the risk of cardiovascular complications (DF).
