PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice polishing apparatus which reduces irregularity in rice polishing and improves a yield.
SOLUTION: In the rice polishing apparatus which includes a conveying portion for conveying unpolished rice, and a rice polishing portion provided continuously to the conveying portion and polishing the unpolished rice conveyed from the conveying portion between a cylindrical agitating roll and a cylindrical bran removing net accommodating the agitating roll under a predetermined rice polishing pressure, a projection projectively extending in the longitudinal direction of the roll and a restricting portion extending from the middle of the projection along the peripheral surface of the agitating roll and restricting the movement of the unpolished rice are formed on the peripheral surface of the agitating roll.
