The present invention relates to a process for line production of plant growth medium pots comprising the steps of: a) continuously folding the free end of a continuous length of water permeable sheet material, preferably supplied on a reel, into a substantially U-shaped tube； b) forming a first sealing in the U-shaped tube by engaging and flattening theopposed walls of the open end of the U-shaped tube；c) positioning the free end of a growth medium feeding tube within the U-shaped tube cavity, and advancing the continuous length of water permeable sheet material a predefined distance；d) forming a second sealing by engaging and flattening the opposed walls of the Ushaped tube at a predefined distance from the free end of the growth medium feeding tube, thereby forming a tubular chamber around the free end of the growth medium feeding tube；e1) separating the formed tubular chamber from the continuous length of water permeable sheet material； and f) through the free end of the growth medium feeding tube, filling the tubular chamber with a growth medium to form a plant growth medium pot.
