PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wearing article of an excellent appearance.SOLUTION: A disposable wearing article comprises: a front girth area 11 a rear girth area 12 a crotch area 13 extending between the front and rear girth areas and an absorption structure 15 extending from the crotch area toward the front and rear girth areas. In the front and rear girth areas, there are overlapped a plurality of sheet members including at least one of fiber nonwoven fabric and a film of a thermoplastic resin in the front and rear girth areas. A waistline elastic area 40 extends along waistline edges 17 and 18 of the front and rear girth areas. In at least one waistline elastic area of the front and rear waistline areas, there are contained: a continuous elastic area 47 extending along the waistline edge and a split elastic area 48 extending transversely between the continuous elastic area and the crotch area. At the transverse center part of the split elastic area, there is provided an elastic deactivation block 49 which has lost elasticity of the waistline elastic area. An end part 15a of the absorption structure is jointed to the elastic deactivation block, and a plurality of sheet-like members are jointed to each other at a plurality of thermal deposition points 59 plotted in the elastic deactivation block.
