PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of suppressing adhesion of excreta to the skin by the excreta oozing out to a waist band side.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper (10) has: an absorbent core (31)； a skin surface side sheet (20) positioned nearer on a skin facing surface side than the absorbent core； and a waist band (80) which is positioned nearer on the skin facing surface side than the skin facing side sheet in a back waist area and stretches in a width direction. The waist band has a standing part (85) configured to stand and base end parts (84, 87) which are bonded to the skin facing side sheet and includes a base end edge to be a standing fulcrum of the standing part. At least a part of the standing part is configured to be folded backward at a fold line on a front side of the base end part and to be able to stand on the skin facing surface side with respect to the base end part.
