The present invention relates to a handrail sterilizing apparatus and, more specifically, to a handrail sterilizing apparatus capable of sterilizing a handrail mounted on an escalator or the like by drying. Provided is the handrail sterilizing apparatus which is arranged on the upper or lower part of the handrail moving along a rail guide and sterilizes the surface of the handrail by generating plasma. The handrail sterilizing apparatus comprises: a case having an outlet formed toward the handrail and a gas inlet, which is communicated with the outlet, formed thereon an electrode arranged inside the outlet and a dielectric covering the electrode and forming a discharge space by being spaced apart from the inside surface of the case.
