The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of wounds and burns and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the composition comprises 0.1...5% silver sulphadiazine, 0.5...30% bentonite, 0.1...5% chitosan, 0...50% glycerol and 0.1...5% lactic acid, the percentage being expressed by mass. The process claimed by the invention consists in heating a mixture of purified water and lactic acid, to a temperature of 70...80°C, admixing chitosan while stirring continuously for 20 min, the mixture being then cooled down to a temperature of 30...35°C and the resulting gel being added to a mixture of bentonite and glycerol, after which the suspension formed of silver sulphadiazine and glycerine is admixed thereto while stirring for 20...30 min for the product homogenization.Invenţia se referă la o compoziţie farmaceutică pentru tratarea rănilor şi arsurilor, şi la un procedeu pentru obţinerea acesteia. Compoziţia conform invenţiei este constituită, în procente masice, din 0,1...5% sulfadiazină argentică, 0,5...30% bentonită, 0,1...5% chitosan, 0...50% glicerol şi 0,1...5% acid lactic. Procedeul conform invenţiei constă din încălzirea unui amestec de apă purificată şi acid lactic, la o temperatură de 70...80°C, se adaugă chitosan sub agitare continuă, timp de 20 min, şi amestecul se răceşte la o temperatură de 30...35°C, gelul rezultat se adaugă într-un amestec format din bentonită şi glicerol, după care se adaugă suspensia formată din sulfadiazină argentică şi glicerină, şi se amestecă timp de 20...30 min, pentru omogenizarea produsului.
