PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care external preparation containing stably a biphenyl compound which is useful as a bleaching agent, and having excellent feeling of use.SOLUTION: The solid lipid emulsion contains an oil phase containing following (A)-(D) as much as &ge60 pts.mass in the 100 pts.mass oil phase: (A) one or more kinds selected from specific biphenyl compounds (B) one or more kinds selected from triglyceride and/or wax ester which have a solid or paste shape at room temperature (C) one or more kinds selected from linear saturated &ge12C alcohols and (D) one or more kinds selected from phospholipids whose phosphatidylcholine content is &ge60 mass% and an aqueous phase. The composition ratio of the components (A)-(D) is shown by following (a)-(c): (a) the mass ratio of the (C) component to the (D) component (C)/(D) is 1/3-50/1 (b) the mass ratio of the (C) component and the (D) component to the (B) component [(C)+(D)]/(B) is 1/10-3/1 and (c) the mass ratio of the (A) component to the (B) component, the (D) component and the (D) component (A)/[(B)+(C)+(D)] is &le1/10.
