PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant capable of being still more decreased in phytotoxic damage from a herbicidal active compound the herbicidal action mechanism of which is immediate, when the compound is applied thereto, and to provide a use of the same. SOLUTION: This plant is furnished with resistance to at least one protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase activity inhibitory-type herbicidal active compound which is contained in a weed killing agent as an active ingredient, wherein the plant contains both of DNA's as follows: (1) a DNA having a base sequence which encodes an amino acid sequence of a protein exhibiting protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase activity and (2) a DNA having a base sequence which encodes an amino acid sequence of cytochrome P450 exhibiting activity capable of metabolizing the herbicidal active compound.
