Method to verify that a medical treatment to be administered to a patient is correct, which includes the use of a system comprising a first computer and a second computer and includes the steps consisting in: accessing information related to the patient's identity on the second computer in a remote place, said remote place being any place where the patient is receiving treatment； access information regarding the identity of the medical treatment on the second computer, the medical treatment having a type of treatment； determine whether medical treatment has been previously associated with the patient； provide a first error signal if medical treatment has not previously been associated with the patient； access information related to the identity of a medical device on the second computer, the medical device being configured to administer said type of medical treatment； determining whether multiple operating parameters, including a flow rate for the medical device, are consistent with medical treatment, the operating parameters having been supplied from the first computer in a central location, said central location being any place other than the remote location in the that the parameters for the operation of the medical device are accessible and the operating parameters have been supplied to the medical device without going through the second computer； and provide a second error signal if the operating parameters for the medical device are not consistent with the medical treatment； enable a nurse or a clinician to adjust the flow rate within a designated flow adjustment tolerance associated with a medication provided by the medical device, the system having a predefined indication stored on whether the nurse or clinician is authorized to override the tolerance flow adjustment； and if the nurse or the clinician is authorized to invalidate the flow adjustment tolerance, enable the nurse or the clinician to invalidate the flow adjustment tolerance.Método para verificar
