PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelling agent composition in which a hardly water-soluble substance is easily dissolved and is uniformly distributed in such a state as to be dissolved in the gel.SOLUTION: The gelling agent composition includes a polymer gelling agent having a three-dimensional network structure, and a hardly water-soluble substance carried in the three-dimensional network structure in such a state as to be dissolved in water. The polymer gelling agent preferably includes polysaccharides. The polymer gelling agent preferably includes agarose, agar and/or gellan gum.
