PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phantom for performing an excellent performance evaluation of a photo-acoustic apparatus.SOLUTION: A phantom for evaluating the performance of a photoacoustic apparatus to acquire the characteristic information of an analyte comprises: a parent material having a background optical coefficient and an acoustic property similar to those of the analyte and a target arranged inside of the parent material and having predetermined optical characteristics.
