A steam sterilizer includes an alarm device that outputs an alarm that calls an operator's attention. The alarm device outputs a first alarm for notifying that the object to be sterilized in the chamber is not sterilized when the door is opened in an unsterilized state where the object to be sterilized has not been sterilized.
