The invention relates to inhibition of the development of hepatic fibrosis in a human subject suffering from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and having a fibrosis score of zero comprising administering to the subject more than 300 mg per day of 3β-arachidylamido- 7a, 12a-dihydroxy-5β-cholan-24-oic (aramchol), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, thereby inhibiting the development of liver fibrosis in said individual.a invenção refere-se à inibição do desenvolvimento de fibrose hepática em um indivíduo humano que sofre de doença hepática gordurosa não alcoólica e com um escore de fibrose igual a zero que compreende administrar ao indivíduo mais de 300 mg por dia de ácido 3ß-araquidilamido-7a,12a-di-hidróxi-5ß-colan-24-oico (aramchol), ou um sal farmaceuticamente aceitável do mesmo, inibindo-se, assim, o desenvolvimento de fibrose hepática no referido indivíduo.
