PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable decomposition device capable of effectively decomposing residual agricultural chemicals adhering to the surface of stored foods, and a refrigerator equipped with the decomposition device.SOLUTION: A decomposition device 2 includes: a first region 4 having at least a header region 8; a second region 6 that functions as a food storage region; a partitioning plate 10 for partitioning the first region 4 and the second region 6; and a gas supply part 20 having a flow channel 22, a fan 24 installed on an inlet side of the flow channel 22 and communicated with the second region 6, a discharge device 30 installed in the flow channel 22, and an ozone decomposition filter 26A installed on an outlet side of the flow channel 22 and communicated with the header region 8. The decomposition device is formed with a circulation cycle in which the gas sucked from the second region 6 by the fan 24 circulates in the flow channel 22, flows into the header region 8 through the discharge device 30 and the ozone decomposition filter 26A, and flows into the second region 6 from the header region 8 through a plurality of through-holes 12 provided to the partitioning plate 10.
