PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a following contradicting technical issue that in order to reduce dark back shadows due to a medical guide wire appearing in a tomographic image of a lesioned site captured using an imaging diagnostic catheter, the outer diameter of the medical guide wire has to be made smaller however, if the outer diameter is made smaller, the mechanical strength characteristics of the medical guide wire are significantly degraded.SOLUTION: The technical contradicting issue can be overcome by considering the range of the torsional rigidity ratio of the core wire with respect to the mechanical strength characteristics of the medical guide wire and the range of the surface area ratio between the core wire and a coil body with respect to the back shadows in the tomographic image, and satisfying the two ranges.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】画像診断用カテーテルを用いて病変部の断層画像を撮影する場合に、断層画像内には医療用ガイドワイヤに起因する明度の低い暗色のバックシャドーが現れる。このバックシャドーを低減しようとすれば、医療用ガイドワイヤの外径をより細径化しなければならず、一方、細径化すれば医療用ガイドワイヤの機械的強度特性が大きく低下する。この相反する技術課題が存在する。【解決手段】医療用ガイドワイヤの機械的強度特性については、芯線のねじり剛性比を、断層画像内のバックシャドーについては、芯線とコイル体との表面積比を考察し、この双方の範囲を満たすことにより、相反する技術課題を克服することができる。【選択図】図2
