PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method which improves mechanical strength characteristics without sacrificing the same due to a thermal influence on a core wire upon welding a helical spring body to the core wire using a stainless steel wire as the core wire.SOLUTION: The core wire 2 is made of an austenitic stainless steel wire treated with a solid solution procedure, and heavily drawn with a whole cross sectional reduction ratio as 80 to 97.6%. The core wire 2 and a helical spring body 3 are welded by a welding member. The welding member is made of eutectic alloy having a melting temperature ranging from 180 to 495°C.
