PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion device including a raising base operation arm in which the tip end of a wire is easily fixed and the strength of the site where the tip end of the wire is fixed can be secured adequately.SOLUTION: The insertion device comprises: a wire 71 an engaging member 72 disposed at the tip end of the wire 71 a raising base operation arm 60 which when being fixed to a raising base 33 and an engagement member 72 is locked, rotates with the raising base 33 upon the traction or relaxation of the wire so as to raise or lower the raising base 33 a first insertion part 61 which is formed in such a way as to penetrate the raising base operating arm 60 in a lengthwise direction L and through which the wire 71 is inserted along the lengthwise direction L and a second insertion part 62 which allows the tip end of the wire 71 to be locked to the raising base operation arm 60 when the tip end side including the engagement member 72 is fitted to the raising base operation arm 60, the engagement member 72 being formed with respect to the raising base operation arm 60 in such a way as to have a preset angle relative to the first insertion part 61 and to communicate with the first insertion part 61.
