PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resection device capable of performing mucosal resection selectively, in a wider range with high quality, with a safe step.SOLUTION: A resection device (11) of the invention comprises a head (20) comprising a non-circular cross section and electrodes (32, 33) which are positioned at a sharp angle each other. In an arrangement of comprising angles of the electrodes and a proper configuration of channels (28, 29), especially by alternately operating the two electrodes, a plasma beam which has an almost fan-shape can be generated, by the plasma beam, a wide width string-shaped resection area in a cavity organ of a human body can be acquired.
