PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a physical condition change of a subject with high degree of accuracy, thereby measuring his/her body temperature in accordance with the physical condition change.SOLUTION: A clinical thermometer is adhered or attached to a subject to measure the body temperature of the subject. The clinical thermometer includes a respiratory rate measuring unit for measuring the respiratory rate of the subject per unit time； an interval control unit for controlling the interval of measurement of the subject's body temperature in accordance with the respiratory rate measured by the respiratory rate measuring unit； and a body temperature measurement unit for measuring the body temperature of the subject at the measurement interval controlled by the interval control unit.【課題】被検者の体調変化をより高精度に検知して、体調変化に応じた体温測定を実現する。【解決手段】被検体に貼付または装着して被検体の体温を測定する体温計であって、被検体の単位時間当たりの呼吸数を測定する呼吸数測定部と、呼吸数測定部により測定された呼吸数に応じて、被検体の体温を測定する測定間隔を制御する間隔制御部と、間隔制御部により制御された測定間隔で被検体の体温を測定する体温測定部とを備える。【選択図】 図４
